The largest Xiaomi online store in Hungary with a wide range of products has launched its Valentine's Day promotions. xiaomishop.hu The range includes the most popular Mi and Redmi models, which have also been tested by our editorial team.

The beginning of 2020 is not an easy year for retailers, as the launch of new models does not start until February (Poco launch right at the beginning of February, followed by the Mi 10 series launch on the 11th) and demand for last year's models typically drops.
The Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE have been discontinued, and we'll have to wait months for the replacement models of the discounted devices. So if you're due for a replacement now, you should (also) check out the list.

Let's have a look at the models on sale:

1. Redmi Note 8T

The cheapest NFC-enabled Redmi model available to a wide range of users. Essentially, you get everything you'd expect from this device for the average user. Correct hardware, FHD+ IPS display, a 4000mAh battery with 2-3 days of battery life with USB-C fast charging, 3.5mm jack socket, a drop-resistant design, a dedicated microSD card slot in addition to the 2 nanoSIM, and a quad (4 camera) camera unit with a 48MP main sensor. If NFC isn't an issue for you, but the notification LED is, then you should go for the Redmi Note 8, it Here click here.

2. Redmi Note 8 Pro

The Redmi Note 8 Pro, the top of the Redmi Note 8 range, has an even larger (6.53″) IPS display and a 4500mAh battery. Battery life is roughly the same as the Redmi Note 8 / 8T models, depending on usage. Xiaomi has used MediaTek's Helio G90T eight-core processor with an increased clock speed graphics processor in this model. The device is mainly recommended for gaming users, with liquid cooling to reduce heat generation. To prevent the antennas (GSM, WiFi) from being shielded during gaming, the manufacturer uses the antenna layout used in Black Shark phones, ensuring stable WiFi and 4G connectivity even when gaming online. The USB-C port and fast charging are also a given here, with the option to expand storage by adding a second nanoSIM. This is the first Xiaomi smartphone with a 64MP main sensor, and Samsung's sensor was first used in the Note 8 Pro. We've thoroughly tested the quad camera's photo and video capabilities, as well as a promotional video with the device by xiaomishop itself.

If you can't decide between the Redmi Note 8 series models, here is a comparison.

3. Mi 9 Lite

The 2019 flagship Mi 9 also received a similar-looking but more restrained Lite version in autumn 2019. The display size and AMOLED panel is the same as the one used in the Mi 9. So you get excellent brightness and contrast, a 178° viewing angle, and an even more advanced fingerprint scanner under the display than the one on the Mi 9. In terms of camera capabilities, the Mi 9 Lite has nothing to be ashamed of (especially with the Sony sensor), although it's not a camera phone. The larger, 4030mAh battery is stable for a day and a half, thanks to the AMOLED display and the frugal processor. If you don't spend hours on social networking sites, you can even get a good 2 days of battery life. NFC is also a feature here, as is the infraport. It's more handy in size than the Redmi Note 8 Pro, and there's a "flicker" on the back, which is the illuminated xiaomi logo that can be used as an RGB notification LED. As with the Mi series, the price (and build quality) is positioned higher. Currently available in two colours 6+128GB version 94.990 Ft-at a price of.

4. Mi 9T Pro

Since its announcement, there has been an increased interest in the truly full display (i.e. notch-free) top of the range hardware model in our country as well. Opinions are still divided as to whether the Mi 9 or the Mi 9T Pro is better. They got the Mi 9's processor, bigger battery, 3.5mm jack, more advanced fingerprint reader under the display, but left out wireless charging.
It's the first Xiaomi model (along with the Mi 9T) to feature a selfie camera with a pop-up motorised mechanism on the body. The heat generated under heavy use is here solved by a laminated graphite heat sink.

5. Mi Note 10

Xiaomi's 2019 "best camera" model doesn't deliver on all fronts. Hardware almost especially not, as it has an upper-mid-range Snapdragon 730G processor. Here, too, the clock speed of the graphics processor has been increased (just like the Redmi Note 8 Pro's Helio G90T processor) so that it can serve the 108MP Samsung main sensor and complete penta camera unit. Although there were still some problems with the stable operation at the moment of the test, hopefully this has been remedied by the manufacturer with a software optimization.
I said in the test that the Mi Note 10 was too expensive at the time, but now it is at the price level that I think it is worth.

There's also a Mi Note 10 Pro model with 8 lens elements (paired with the main sensor), 8GB of memory and dual backs. The premium is more worth it (around 199.990 Ft), but the processor is still mid-range. There's simply no real-world situation that would take advantage of the extra 2GB of RAM. The 256GB of storage is okay, but the type is kept secret by the manufacturer. The native 27MP photos are saved quite choppily, so the use of UFS 2.1 is highly questionable (I don't think it is).

These 5 models are currently on sale, and according to my information they are available until Valentine's Day or while stocks last.
It is not yet known what impact the gradually weakening forint will have on prices in February for the other types.
