As with all new top phones, before the release of a new phone, there are many rumours and leaks, from credible sources to the usual gossip sites. Let's start with the authentic source, which was posted on the XDA forum.

At the Snapdragon Tech conference in December, Xiaomi confirmed that it will use the latest chipset, the SD865, in its next flagship phone, the Mi 10. But in the meantime, it was also revealed that there will be two versions of it, the plain and Pro.

  • Xiaomi Mi 10 - M2001J2C
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro - M2001J1C

The code names of the two phones were found in the latest Chinese beta rum, confirming that the Mi 10/Pro's first system is based on MIUI 11 and Android 10. This is not surprising at all, but rather expected. One more thing we got out of the codes is that the Mi 10 Pro will support 66W cable fast charging, we'll have to wait for the 100W technology. We might see it in the Mi Mix 4, if at all.

And now for the gossip!

The other day, a screenshot of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro was leaked, or rather, allegedly leaked. Although a lot of the specs in the image are real, like the SoC, but the rest could be just speculation and the image is fake. But still it is very plausible as the Pro phone comes with better hardware than the regular one.
