Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite phones were launched a month ago which tried to fill the gap among Mi 8 – SE – EE both in terms of features and price. We could hear at the launch event that Xiaomi will soon make the phones available globally. We have had some guesses so far which country will be the first but it was wrong as we thought it would be Spain.

Donovan Sung has revealed on Twitter that Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite will be first launching in the Ukraine in Europe. The launch will start on Wednesday, October 17 in the capital city of Kiev. Donovan is flying to the launch event to meet the fans personally in the local Mi Store and he will open the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite’s official European sales at 1900 hrs local time.

The Mi 8 Lite is the cheapest one of the series, with a 6.26″ FHD+ display, a 12/5MP dual-rear and a 24MP selfie-shooter and  SD660 processor. It does not have IR face unlock, on-screen fingerprint scanner and this is how it can keep this favourable price among the big ones.

We have no news about Hungarian distribution so far but if it B20 compatible, then we can take if for granted that it will be available in the official Hungarian Mi Store and in the biggest Xiaomi webshop.
