Mi Band 3's success is continuous, although its features can still be improved or added, its Hungarian support is still undergoing but its successor, the Mi Band 4 is expected to arrive soon.

First news and rumours started in the middle of March saying that Xiaomi is going to launch its next smart bracelet on the example of Hey+ with colourful OLED display, developed sport algorythm, several more features and NFC, etc....

Some days later, facts came to light that the new Mi Band 4's two versions got Bluetooth 5.0 certification. One of them will have NFC based on the previous bracelet which can mainly be used in the east and another one for global use. All other features will be the same as those of the predecessor, use, full touch screen, perhaps one main function 'button'. As for its water-resistance, it will also follow 5ATM standard. Going further if it is adjusted to my needs, it would also contain GPS and wireless charging.

Chief financial officer at Huami, David Cui reaffirmed that "Each generation we learn something, we always do better. And Mi Band 3 is a good example, have a look at 2018's volume. So it is really much better as compared to previous version, in this way we expect Mi Band 4 will be similar - will have similar trend. So once we launch Mi Band 4, we expect that product will sell well."

They have hints with all these that the Mi Band 4 will have more features than 3 so there will be features that make it better seller than its predecessor. That can be the ECG function. This technology is only included in a few wearable devices and those ones are not popular with its low prices, either so if this feature were included then they could expect bigger sales volumes than before.

The launch of Mi Band 4 will be this year, of course and we do not have to wait for long but Huami's financial officer said that it is not going to be in April but perhaps in May or even later. As the success of Mi Band 3 is not reducing, there is no reason for launching a new device. Huami and Xiaomi are having discussions concerning its launch and as soon as we have more information you will get to know it at once.

As far as price of the Mi Band 4, David Cui said that it will remain in the current segment, it will probably be a little more expensive than the Mi Band 3 as better technology would inevitably raise the price of a product but we will get a price tag which is correct for a Xiaomi product and all rivals will be more expensive. Mi Band 3 arrived with a price tag of 169 Yuan in June (~7,200 HUF) and in Hungary we can get it for eight-nine thousand HUF so if Mi Band 4 with its higher price reaches 199 Yuan (8,500 HUF), then will have reason for complaints. Yet, if all the above mentioned features are included, then anyone could give even 235 Yuan (10,000 HUF) for it with pleasure.
