Xiaomi India has revealed through a tweet this morning that a 32MP selfie-camera enabled new phone is arriving on 24 April 2019.

After Redmi Go, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, India is going on with last year's selfie-king debuted Redmi Y series, which will probably be the Redmi Y3.

The Redmi Y3, following the latest trend, will sport a waterdrop-style notch and will be equipped with 32MP camera sensor. This would also be right as the rear camera of a low-budget phone but if it is a font camera module, then it will be along with 48 MP and one or two secondary cameras will come alongside to reserve the current tradition.

The Chinese Redmi Note 5A was renamed in India as Redmi Y1 in late 2017, then last May, without any announcement, the Redmi S2 appeared in the Polish Mi Store which was also renamed Redmi Y2 and was launched in India. We would not be surprised if something similar happened this year but as it was already launched that in over a week's time it will be launched and no other device will overtake it so that Indian fans could get another renamed phone. Manu Kumar Jain, the CEO of Xiaomi India has let on that its design will follow that of Redmi Y series and will sport a big battery. We will see what it means.
