In fact, not only is Miramax not happy, but it has sued director Quentin Tarantino, who announced a few weeks earlier that he plans to sell the Pulp fiction seven cut scenes.

As we have already we wrote, Quentin Tarantino will auction it as a secret NFT Pulp fiction never-before-seen scenes from his classic film based on the Secret Network cryptocurrency. "I'm so excited to be able to offer these exclusive contents to fans" - cited from the two-time Oscar-winning director of CNN. But there's a hitch: the film's producer Miramax was not the least bit thrilled with the idea, so much so that it filed a lawsuit against the director for wanting to sell the never-before-seen scenes.

The The Hollywood Reporter report according to the film company is suing the director because they want to protect the copyright and trademark ownership of one of their most cherished and iconic works. According to Miramax, the lawsuit would also have a preventive effect, as they would like to avoid others following Tarantino's lead in offering the material for sale. However, the exercise of rights on the film is complicated, as some scenes are shared between Miramax and the director. According to the film company, Tarantino has the right to publish certain parts of the script, but he can no longer sell them as NFTs.

In addition to never-before-seen scenes, Tarantino's NFT collection includes quotes from the original, handwritten script and exclusive commentary from Tarantino, in which the director reveals secrets about the film and himself.

Since 2021, the market for NFT, or non-replaceable tokens, has been a source of constant interest, with sometimes huge sums changing hands. To give an example, in March 2021, a person could buy a $10,000 (about HUF 3 million) for cryptocurrency bought the Nyan Cat meme from the creator, in exchange for a digital file and a certificate of ownership. Nyan Cat is still available to anyone, can be viewed online and copied, but it is now officially the property of the person who paid for it.
