But if you don't have the time to watch it all, you can scroll through the highlights in pictures

The Poco F1 is Xiaomi's Indian sub-brand, as it inherits almost everything from the Mi8 series and has even been added to. Built in a slightly different way from the previous design, the device has so many new features, the whole concept is based on speed. The top SoC already in place, the SD845, uses liquid cooling to keep the system's performance at a constant level even at high temperatures, and more than its competitors. With a clean-up of the MIUI base and the creation of the new Poco Launcher, they promise 28% faster app opening and 21% faster animations. Add to that a 4,000 mAh battery with QC3.0 support, and you can enjoy 8 hours of incredible speed for those who love to play! And when it's time to dive in, you can plug it into the lightning-fast charger with a USB-C connector. To avoid disturbing your surroundings with the noise of gunfire from the stereo speakers, simply plug your headphones into the Jack socket.

The camera of the Poco F1 is placed in the middle, in line with the rear fingerprint reader. With the familiar 12MP (1.4um pixel, f/1.9 aperture, dual pixel autofocus) + 5MP (1.12um pixel, f/2.0 aperture) pair, it brings the quality you'd expect from it, especially at this price (prices are a bit lower). The front, on the other hand, is the selfie king with a 20MP camera, plus the infrared face unlock camera and sensor. So the Poco F1 can even scan your face perfectly in blind darkness and unlock the device. Of course, the cameras with artificial intelligence achieve even better results and even mean and object recognition have been added to the features to achieve the best quality.

The screen is no ordinary one either, with an exact diameter of 6.18″ and an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. It has an FHD+ resolution (2246 x 1080) with a pixel density of 403 ppi. Of course with daylight and night functions and a reading mode. Oh yeah, and the notch on top can be removed with a switch, in case it really bothers anyone.

VAN B20! :) So the Poco F1 supports a lot of frequencies, 4G+ in India is one of them, but the B20 (800 MHz), which is important for us, is one of them. With the hybrid design of the SIM tray, you can fit either 2 nanoSIM or 1 nanoSIM and a microSD card, which can be up to 256GB. Both SIM slots are 4G+ capable! Wifi is standard 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and 2.4G WiFi / 5G WiFi / Supports WiFi Direct / WiFi 2×2 MIMO technology / MU-MIMO / WiFi Display. Bluetooth 5.0 AAC/aptX/aptX-HD/LDAC audio codec.

The MIUI Poco version also features more than 20 in-depth optimisations, quick updates to the Android base and bug fix packages. They take this so seriously that they are already basing MIUI on Android 9 Pie on the Poco F1 phone in Q4. Plus, the kernel will be open source, so anyone can build a rom of it, just download it from Github and start having fun! In the Poco Launcher, the icons are not on the main screen, but in the App drawer, a separate page that slides up from the bottom, familiar from Android. There you can group apps by what they're for, or by the colour of the icon. You can hide anything and protect it with PIN/Password/Symbol and fingerprint.

The Poco F1 will be available in two versions, the standard edition and the Armoured edition with a lightweight cover. The standard edition will offer 64, 128 and 256 GB of internal storage alongside 6/8GB of RAM, while the Armoured edition will have a fixed 8+256GB. There will be three colours to choose from: Graphite Black, Rose Red and Steel Blue. The kevlar is of course the runaway carbon fibre fabric.
