Roborock today announced on its official Weibo page that on Monday 23 March it will unveil its latest and best robot vacuum cleaner yet, the T7. Based on the 3 posters published, the T7 is the internationally Roborock S5 Max (but the shape of the control knobs is different) and the rear water tank is the same. As the S5 Max model has no Chinese counterpart yet, it's possible that they are only now getting the same knowledge that we Hungarians have been enjoying for months.
Anyone who follows the Xiaomi ecosystem has already experienced that it's not easy to distinguish between the models by their names. This has been the case for the last 10 years of Xiaomi. Although in the past there was mostly confusion between phones, this is now also true for smart home products. If only recent examples were to be mentioned, there is the Redmi AirDots with model number TWSEJ04LS, mostly marketed as Xiaomi Mi Airdots BASIC True Wireless in Europe. Both are available with the same CE sticker and English voice feedback.
But even with robot vacuum cleaners, there are mistranslations, or the distributor looks up the designation on the box they sell. An example is the new Mi robot vacuum-Mop model, sold in China as Mi robot vacuum 1C. In the case of Hungarian-language webshops and websites, I have run into this precise designation more than once, which confuses customers. But they should just look at what is on the packaging and in the accompanying description. Staying with 1C, if that is the name on the packaging, it is a sure bet that it is a version for China, which cannot be used on EU servers, and there is no official English audio code available, not to mention the lack of CE marking.
Roborock models have been renamed after the single S5 series. In China, the newer robotic vacuum cleaners are available with the 'T' and 'P' designations, with the 'S' prefix still being used for the international market. The Roborock T6, for example, is available as the S6 in our country, while the T4 is officially available as the S4 through Amazon and eBay. The name Roborock S5 Max is a PR ploy (excuse the language, but there's no better way to describe why this is the newer model of the S6), as the average customer sees it as an updated S5 (S50/S55) model, and not better than the S6.
The Roborock S6 is not only more expensive, it is also difficult to get hold of, and is below the level of the S5 Max. It was introduced much earlier than the S5 Max.
As I wrote above, the S5 Max has no Chinese equivalent in terms of knowledge - and there is no EU version of the Chinese P5.
The poster shows the water pump, electronic water volume control, and the increased suction power, and the new RR mason7.0 algorithm system. How this differs from the S5 Max is not yet known. Also included is the multi-map management which may be a reference to the card solution introduced earlier, i.e. you can divide the rooms on the map, individually parameterise the sections to avoid, the carpets, the suction power, the amount of water used for mopping up, and individually schedule the cleaning of the rooms. There is also a map save function, so you can use it on multiple floors, as long as you place the vacuum exactly where it was on the map when you saved it.

For the Mi Robot vacuum-Mop and Mop P models, we already know that although the manufacturer is different for both models, the suction motor is the same. Only its power has been "upped" in the case of the entry-level Mop model and the suction inlet-air duct has been modified to achieve the on-paper suction force of 2500Pa. This was also coupled with a stronger operating sound during the test. On 23 March, everything will be revealed.
