As we already knew, the Redmi K30 Pro will come with a quad camera system arranged in a circle.

So far we also knew that the highest resolution image sensor would be 64 MP, the rest we just guessed would be equipped with ultra-wide-angle, portrait and depth sensors. Today, some details about the camera were posted on Redmi's Weibo page.

The Redmi K30 Pro's 64 MP main camera is equipped with optical image stabilisation, but it's the first Redmi phone to feature a second lens that can compensate for shake in the same way, physically, and with a 3x telephoto lens. The resolution of the other sensor is still unknown, but it will probably be 12 MP. 4 days to find out...

The Redmi K30 Pro's OIS+EIS capabilities are showcased in a video, with no image stabilisation on the left and with it turned on on the right.

The main camera module, as expected, will be Sony's IMX686 sensor, equipped with 7 lenses, 1.17″ sensor, 1.6 µm pixel, 9.248 x 6.944 pixels.

The other lens, which also features OIS image stabilisation, allows 3x optical zoom, coupled with 30x digital magnification.

Of course, it gets the 30x digital zoom out of the 64 MP, which is still just enough for a Facebook post, but don't take responsibility for the quality... ;-)

Of course, with the 64 MP Sony image sensor, you can record your videos in 8K resolution, which you can watch back on what? So the camera will be fine, the screen will be cool, the processor will be cool, it's just the price that matters and whether it will be released in Europe under some name, like Xiaomi Mi 10T...
