Today it was announced on Xiaomi Global Forum that after finishing Chinese Developer and Stable ROM support Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, there will be no Global update either.

Xiaomi was announced in February 2016 and then it was launched in April that year. There was no B20 but in spite of this fact, it was really popular in Hungary. The device has got 140 updates in the past few years which is quite few as compared to Mi 3. Mi 5 was available with Chinese and Global ROM as well and it was even supported by the domestic development team, MIUI Hungary and after its launch, the Hungarian Mi 5 fans got continuous support.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm was launched in February 2016 before Mi 5 and it went on sale even in February. There was not big step forward after MTK version but Snapdragon 650 has proved to be better than the cheaper brother from every aspect and became better-seller. It was also one of the most popular phones in Hungary in 2016 until the launch of the Redmi Note 5 and its domestic distribution and support was high.

The last weekly support for the two devices is coming out on Friday then it will be finished and one more MIUI 10 Global Stable will come out some time in the future (2019 Q1). Beta testing team will also be disbanded after the release on Friday.

Rest in peace……
