Xiaomi has unveiled another projector created with community funding.
The device in the Mijia family has quite a long name. Officially Mijia iNovel Yi Luowei Me2 but we will refer to it by its nickname (iNovel Me2).

A XGiM Lightank W100 The futuristic smart projector is primarily designed to attract attention, but thanks to its built-in operating system, it is targeted at the business segment.

Want to watch HD movies on your living room wall? Or maybe you're looking for a bigger screen for your games console? Want to share your mobile photos with loved ones at a size they can enjoy?
The iNovel Me2 projector was designed for you.

The iNovel Me2 can diagonally up to 300 inches display ( adjustable between 40-300″) and supports 1080p/4K resolution or HDR10 high dynamic range sources.

Fast autofocus ensures a distortion-free image. Trapezoid correction allows you to adjust the projected image vertically or horizontally for the smoothest possible picture.
One of its outstanding features is its modular (split) design.
The split design means that the projector can be split in two: the main projection unit and the HiFi speaker. The speaker is Bluetooth enabled, allowing pairing with other devices. 20 W of power is sufficient for most rooms in Orrhon.
The modular design is beneficial for the portability of the iNovel Me2. It is truly compact and easy to transport between home and office.

Xiaomi has equipped the projector with MIUI OS and PatchWall technology, which enables seamless viewing of content.
The smart features of iNovel Me 2 are powered by Xiaomi's Mi TV feature. When used as a regular projector, it works as if you were controlling a Mi TV.

It's powered by an Amlogic T986 processor paired with a Mali T830 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage.
The SoC can also handle 4K / 60fps content.

Illumination is provided by an OSRAM Ostar RGB semiconductor light source with 1000 lumens. The manufacturer claims that the iNovel Me2 has a lifetime of approximately 30,000 hours of light rotation, which means that it can be used for approximately 20 years, assuming 4 hours of use per day. Pretty impressive.

In addition, the iNovel Me2 battery lasts for 6 hours of continuous use before needing to be plugged into a charger.
You can also connect external devices via various inputs:

  • AUX
  • HDMI
  • USB 2.0
  • USB 3.0
  • DC IN.

To reduce projector fan noise and dissipate heat efficiently, the inside of the enclosure is coated with graphene. This material was chosen because it has 10-20x better thermal conductivity than other materials, helping to vent heat quickly and efficiently.

The iNovel Me2 costs ¥4999 ($ 745). The remote control is similar to the Mi TV / Mi Box remote controls (only this one is white). A black carrying case is included with the cables.
Sales will start from 23 September. There is no information about Hungarian distribution yet.
