Black Shark VR glasses will read lips

VR, or Virtual Reality, is not so widespread in our country, or at least not very widespread. Xiaomi has already you used to try several ways to put a phone in it and have its own display. Better known on the subject is Oculus or the Sony PlayStation VR glasses. But it seems the Black Shark enters the VR glasses market.

Black Shark has recently filed a patent for a VR goggle that works on its own. You don't have to put your phone in it, it has its own screen and sound system. The patent specification does not address either the design or the technological architecture. However, one thing is revealed: speech recognition. That is, it recognises lip movements and converts them into sound or text. So it will read lips. This will help people with hearing impairments to understand what is being said on the screen even if there is no subtitles on the screen and they cannot read lips.

This doesn't mean that Black Shark is working on VR glasses yet, although most of the patents are being implemented. Don't look for it on the market just yet, it won't be released anytime soon, if ever.
