Xiaomi MiJia Quartz Smart Waterproof Smartwatch (Gearvita)

MiJia produces primarily not sportswatches for Xiaomi, because it is Huami’s Amazfit watches. MiJia has made several mechanical watches with more exclusive design and many have won awards and now this one is a 2-in-1 version.

The Xiaomi MiJia Quartz Watch is mechanical but it features smart functions that are not so special but they are extra. It offers support Bluetooth 4.0 BLE with which to interface to the smartphone through the application Mi Home. The functions are the following:

• World Clock
• Interval Reminder
• Call Reminder
• Alarm

It has a dial without numbers, sounds, nothing. It can only vibrate but only very mild. It indicates the time and the steps taken a day, nothing else. Setting time is connected to time zone free switching when it automatically synchronizes with the help of a small engine the clock hands in the right position. The button on the side of the watch has not much to do with, it can only confirm the connection to the phone and re-start.

The watch is 3ATM certified which means that you can use it for example when washing the car, on the beach, under shower, when you climb a mountain, parachute, hang-gliding or skiing. It resists sweating, condensation and rain.

Its pedometer is very similar to those made by Amazfit, it shows only a rough guess as it can only count every 100 step, so the exact result can only be seen on our phones. That’s why it is not suggested for sports. The watch is cool and nice, nothing too much, looks like a simple quartz watch.
