It's no different for Xiaomi smartphones. It's not difficult to define the family name for a Xiaomi mobile. For example: if the Mi 6 is released, we know that the Mi 7 will be the successor, to be launched next year. But what if a flagship is released based on a completely new concept, almost from scratch, like the Redmi Pro? Well, the naming excites everyone, before specs, design, performance or anything else. Sometimes a name may become familiar over the years, but suddenly an innovation comes along and a different name is eventually chosen. That's what happened with Xiaomi's first full-screen phone, calling the full-screen era the "Xiaomi Mi MIX". Yes, you heard that right!

A few days ago Xiaomi CEO told Weibo how the name Xiaomi Mi MIX was born. The flagship MIX has become a masterpiece of black technology. That's why Xiaomi called it Mi X. Here, the "X" in the alphabet stands for discovery and the unknown. They accidentally combined the "X" -et a "Mi" -with. The word "MIX" was easy to read. And so the new flagship Xiaomi Mi MIX was born. This is the story of the Xiaomi Mi MIX.
Xiaomi Mi MIX Story - The accolades
In fact, the name helps a lot to make the product a symbol. The most important thing is to associate it with the product itself. So far proud owner of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 16 Award. The first two contain the following:
- IDEA Design Gold Award 2017: this award goes back 37 years and only 12 smartphones have won it so far. It is the representative award of the American Industrial Design Association and the United States Business Week. The last phone to win was the iPhone 1, back in 2008. Since then, no one has received such a prestigious award. After a hiatus of nearly nine years, the Xiaomi Mi MIX was honoured at the IDEA Design Gold Award 2017.
- Finland National Design Museum Collection: the museum was founded in 1873. The oldest and best-known visual museum in the world, the Xiaomi Mi MIX, is part of it.
