As you may have read in the past weeks, Xiaomi's flagship Mi 7 will definitely not be unveiled at the MWC starting this weekend.Last autumn, it was rumoured that it would be the first flagship to use Snapdragon 845, but now it's certain that it won't be. Instead, the Mi MIX 2s might be unveiled, although from the press silence so far, we can infer that this won't be the first SD845 phone on the market either. Because the big rival Samsung is ahead of everyone with the S9 model.
Let's get back to the subject at hand, Mi 7. The unveiling is not any closer, but the latest information is that we will only be able to admire it at the end of April or early May.
Yesterday's "Code name "BlackShark, the data in the AnTuTu database might be the Mi 7. In this case, we can expect a real powerhouse, even if the ROM size was wrongly reported. Now a source claims to have managed to dig out some extra information from the Mi 7 firmware data that already exists in the test phase.

Xiaomi Mi 7 - What we already know

Let's look at the leaked information so far and see what we can expect. We know that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC is at the heart of it, which Xiaomi is jointly optimizing with Qualcomm to make their own AI system work perfectly. Whether it will be the first or second Xiaomi handset with this processor is now secondary. There are rumours of two versions, the Mi 7 and the Mi 7 Plus, with different display sizes. For the Plus model, Samsung's 6.01″ OLED panel is mentioned. The Mi 7 could be the first Xiaomi phone with wireless charging. The dual camera unit known from the Mi 6 may remain, just rotated vertically. The Mi 7 is heavily based on AI enhanced system, which could even provide usable face unlock, which the processor also supports in hardware. The battery capacity is only a guess at the moment, 3,200 mAh could be included in the "regular" Mi 7, while the larger Mi 7 Plus will have 3,500 mAh. Some reports suggest that a larger 4,480 mAh battery could be included.

Xiaomi Mi 7 specifications based on leaked firmware files

The following information is extracted from firmware files, which @FunkyHuawei shared. The man from FunkyHuawei.club service, which allows users to update Huawei phones and solve other problems related to corruption, reset the phone, bootloader... Just like our Attila for Xiami phones. :)
These firmware files are provided for XDA-Developers only.

Within the firmware files, we can confirm the most obvious aspects: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, and MIUI 9 based on Android 8.0 Oreo (and Project Treble compatibility for booting). There is also a post about the device has an OLED display, thus proving the earlier rumours. What's also interesting information is that it could be the first Xiaomi smartphone that  Always on Display (Always on Display) In the device's properties, there is a reference to "AOD", which suggests the existence of this feature (the same info - "AOD" - was previously found on the Google Pixel 2, which turned out to be true). Then, the MIUI lock screen was "unlocked", where an option for this Samsung feature was also found.

Based on the lock screen data, you can also set to show the continuously active hour and date, battery level, and up to 3 notifications.

Then evidence of the double camera was found.

Finally, the firmware also reveals dual SIM card support, but no microSD card support, but infraport, real-time Bokeh in the camera app (thanks to the Snapdragon 845), electronic image stabilisation, Dirac audio technology, Qualcomm aptX and aptX HD Bluetooth audio codecs, and NFC support. And the battery capacity included in the firmware is 3,170 mAh, which is less than the battery capacity of the Xiaomi Mi 6 (3,350 mAh), but it may not last less time. However, we do know that this could be the first Xiaomi handset with wireless charging, so we can take advantage of all the fast charging formats. No details on this have been revealed.

We should mention that we are not Up to 100% are confident that the leaked firmware files are from the Xiaomi Mi 7. However, this is the most credible information so far, as this is the single Xiaomi device, which is certainly to be expected and uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The Xiaomi Mi 7 and Mi Mix 2S. The firmware files for the Mi Mix 2S were leaked earlier and contained different details. Therefore, we can trust the authenticity of the above data. In the coming weeks, we will see what materializes from the specifications so far.
