Xiaomi is something of a brutal floor cleaner, with robotic vacuum cleaner tips, a horde of handheld vacuum cleaners and mopping, sometimes on the back of a vacuum cleaner and sometimes in a handheld mop with a separate dispenser. Last week we had a very new wireless vacuum cleaner from Dreame, a first for Xiaomi's system.
The Dreame V9 cordless vacuum cleaner is not a simple case, it fits well into the Xiaomi maturity, with looks, features, accessories. There's just one tiny quibble: the price. I mean, not the domestic price, which is xiaomishop.hu, but also the original price and amblock of all the Eastern webshops. The price from outside is 65-70 JMF and of course shipping, plus VAT+VAT+stb. if you catch it, but avoiding these, 72.990 is not a cheap piece here at home. But! Looking through the offer of domestic shops, it is still cheaper than a vacuum cleaner of similar ability!!! Let's see what's in the box.
Dreame hasn't been shy about packing every accessory with the vacuum that you don't need for a thorough clean. Along with a large floor cleaner, you get an upholstery cleaning head, a flat suction hose with brush, a part suction with brush, an extension hose. On top of all this, there's a wall-mountable holder/loading unit.
The floor cleaning head is very easy to use, with a built-in motor-driven brush that sweeps almost everything on the floor. On carpets it is not the most effective, although it brushes nicely, but when rotating forward it almost pulls you along, only holding back firmly, pulling backwards it resists quite strongly. Cleaning is very easy, by pulling the little red latch the hinge holding one side of the brush pops out and it can be removed and cleaned, even under the tap, but care must be taken to ensure that it is only put back when dry, as do not use the vacuum cleaner to suck up any liquids or wet dirt!!!
The upholstery cleaner, like the floor cleaner, has its own motor, so it is not dependent on air to operate, reducing the suction power. Very effective on beds, sofas, car seats and all upholstered surfaces. It sucks and brushes with great power, getting everything out, even 99.9% of allergens and living things! The brush here is also removable, with a coin on the side that can be turned by releasing the latch.
The two thinned vacuum cleaner tubes with brushes are very useful when small surfaces or narrow gaps need to be cleaned of dust, dirt and grime. They are also very useful in the home and in the car.
The wall bracket is a great place for our vacuum cleaner, not only does it hold all the accessories, but it also charges the battery so you can use it whenever you want!
A European charger is supplied in the box, which can be used separately to charge the vacuum cleaner directly or plugged into the holder bracket. The battery has a capacity of 2,500 mAh and takes 3-4 hours to fully charge.
It can run for up to 60 minutes on speed one, which is only good for sucking up dust, it can't suck up heavier things.On speed two it can handle heavier crumbs, but on MAX it can suck up screws with 20.000 Pa suction.
Its tank is "only" half a litre, but it is easy and quick to empty and clean. The filter system has 5 stages:
- Cyclone filtration, separation of heavier dirt
- Tiny perforated metal mesh filtration
- 8-section separation
- High density foam sponge
- HEPA filter
Verdict
I was happy with the vacuum cleaner, it is very good for what it was designed for. It's almost unthinkable to use another vacuum cleaner alongside a robot vacuum cleaner, and if you want a very special and excellent secondary tool, it should be any of the Xiaomi range, but the Dreame V9 is one of the best choices. It can clean an entire apartment without carpet, as carpet is not your best friend, but if nothing else, it can be used with little compromise. Thanks again to Xiaomishop.hu for letting us test it!
