This week, on Saturday, the new Xiaomi Mi Store, Home, Mall, Shop and all that, opens in the Arena!

A somewhat embarrassing start and the fate of the first Mi Home (Xiaomi Europe) store, which fought off the onslaught of competitors, seems to be sealed for good. The store is constantly being improved, expanded and will open soon. It is currently called Xiaomi Arena Mall

For now, the window is covered and the grille is down, but behind it, a huge amount of work is going on. Stocking shelves, assembling furniture and shelves, displaying products, pricing. The shop manager welcomed us for a long chat, we asked a lot of questions, not avoiding awkward topics.

Of course, we will only write what is public, so don't ask us anything that would make anyone look good or bad. It's their own business, the catfight between competitors, they either join in or they don't.

Meanwhile, we were delighted to receive the news that the second official retailer for Xiaomi fans will open a store in the Arena Mall. The opening will be on Saturday, October 12, 2019, according to the itinerary below:

• 10:00-10:30 ribbon-cutting ceremony, welcome speeches, interviews.
• 10:30-21:00 opening of the shop for customers
• 12:00 Presentation of our accessories
• 14:00 Smart Home tests

Location:Budapest, Kerepesi út 9, 1087 (Arena Mall shopping centre)

The range of products will not be as extensive when it opens, but all the major and best-selling Xiaomi stuff will be available, such as phones, earbuds, power banks, smart home stuff, cameras, accessories. But not everything will be available, not everything will have at least English language or CE marking at the factory, but to add to our heartache there will be various TVs, ninebot go-karts, etc.

According to the store manager, the product range will evolve and develop according to demand, with new products expected to be launched in the store within 2-3 weeks of the Chinese launch. Shipping will be direct from Xiaomi through official channels, warranty is also factory, but not everything is 2 years full. I will leave the full information to the store, lest we misinform someone by misunderstanding something or not describing it truthfully. There will be a lot of products 10-60% off the price at the opening and maybe some rep stuff, gifts, but that will be revealed there, no details are public yet.
