Xiaomi 12T Series launch 2022.10.04. Tuesday 14:00!

A lot has already been revealed about the Xiaomi 12T phones, rumours, leaks, etc. But the launch date and what exactly Xiaomi will unveil has been kept secret until today. The Xiaomi 12T series is already a certainty, but there could be surprises to come.

Translating the motto of the new series into English is again a bit tricky. Shall we make the moment great? Maybe, but the Hungarian agency will translate it for us... So big moment, big camera, big display, or both? Let's first look at the features of the Xiaomi 12T series.

Xiaomi 12T / Pro

The Xiaomi 12T according to Geekbench will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, while the Xiaomi 12T Pro will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The other big difference between the two phones will be in the main camera sensor. The regular 12T will be able to capture images at the usual 108 MP resolution, while the 12T Pro will have the new 200 MP resolution sensor. The other image capture modules will theoretically be the same, 8 MP super wide and 2 MP macro. I'd rather not say any more about that. The front will also be 20 MP.

The two phones will be the same size, 6.67″ AMOLED with 120 Hz screen refresh rate, and will be paired with a 5,000 mAh battery with 120 W fast charging.

Surprises

Word on the street is that there will be a few new things of interest at the launch. For example, the Redmi tablet machine, the Redmi Pad.

The tablet is said to have an 11″ LCD panel with 2K resolution. It will be powered by the MediaTek MT8781 processor, which is about the same power as the Helio G99. Thus, the tablet could have a separate Wi-Fi and separate 4G version, as it supports 4G LTE network. It also has enough battery power to fit in this size, apparently 7,800 mAh, but only 22.5 W of charging power. As it will not be a gaming machine, we can initially buy it with 3/4 GB of ram and 64 GB of back-up. It comes with Android 12-based MIUI 13 for Pad and three colours to choose from: Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver and Mint Green
