A new feature is coming soon to Instagram's news feed, making it much easier and more convenient to use the social networking site.

In recent years, Facebook has taken several steps to make the Messenger the Instagram photo sharing feature should be user-friendly and transparent. The latest development of the platform is also designed with convenience and organisation in mind, at least according to a recent post by Alessandro Paluzzi, published by the leaker on Twitter.

A new feature on Instagram is apparently the "Favorites" feature, which allows users to mark the accounts they are most interested in. As a result, the posts of those selected as favourites will be prioritised in the news feed, so that the posts that users are most interested in will be the first to reach them.

Back in June, Instagram chief Adam Mosseri wrote a longer blog post at reported on how they use their algorithms to make the feed more personal, relevant and enjoyable, i.e. the guidelines they use to decide which posts go to the top of the feed and the order in which they are followed by other posts.

At the time of writing, Instagram has not yet commented on the news, so it is not yet known if and when the new feature will be introduced, but given the chaotic newsfeed of the platform, it would be highly desirable to have it available to users as soon as possible.
