Weeks ago, the Tienven-1 (Tianwen-1) spacecraft orbiting Mars sent a video that is worth watching just for a few moments of the Martian surface.

Tienven-1 (meaning Questions for Heaven) orbited Mars last February, and the lander, with the Zhurong Mars rover on board, landed on the vast plain of Utopia Planitia in May.

The recently Forwarded to "selfie" video shows the probe orbiting in space, with a large part of the structure's body, engines and solar panels visible, and the reddish surface of Mars in the background. Tienven-1 is the first Chinese spacecraft to orbit Mars.

Although Chinese space exploration is developing at a rapid pace, relatively little information about their missions is shared with the world, and only limited information about their launches and spacecraft is released. This footage was released ahead of the Chinese Lunar New Year.

Speaking of selfies, from time to time NASA publishes images of its Mars rovers, such as Perseverance and Curiosity. The latter was released in December Forwarded to a stunning selfie of some 81 different photos soldered together by experts. Curiosity has been exploring Mars for more than 8 Earth years, and its main missions include studying the geology and climate of the red planet, searching for traces of water and ultimately discovering whether life has existed on the red planet.
