Legendary rapper Eminem purchased an Ethereum-based NFT image of a monkey for nearly half a million dollars in late December. 

The NFT fever is raging unstoppably, and for the time being, there is very little end in sight. Right now Marshall Bruce Mathers III, better known as Eminem purchased from for nearly half a million dollars, or approximately 150 million forints, a work of art that does not physically exist. Dubbed "EminApe", the NFT wears a hat like the musician often wears, as well as a thick gold chain and a gold sports top.

Although at the time of writing, Eminem has not reacted to the news of the purchase, the musician's official Twitter page now features the NFT monkey in place of his profile picture.

In recent months, several world-famous artists have entered the crypto market, including two-time Oscar-winning Hollywood film director Quentin Tarantino, who has chosen to auction his crypto as an NFT Pulp fiction never-before-seen scenes from his classic film.

The plan was to provide buyers with not only a certificate of authenticity, but also quotes from the original handwritten script and exclusive commentary from Tarantino, but fate intervened. As it turned out, Miramax, the producer of the film, was not the least bit thrilled with the idea, so much so that it filed a lawsuit against submitted against the director for wanting to put the never-before-seen scenes of the film up for sale.
