Android 13 is already being tested on 12 Xiaomi phones

MIUI 13, based on Android 13, is already being tested in China, but so far it is only running on 3-4 phones. The Google I/O 2022 event was held 1 month ago. At this event, the Android 13 DP2 version for the new generation Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Redmi K50 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5. Now, 12 Xiaomi phones are coming for Android 13 test.

Two weeks after the event, Xiaomi internally released the Xiaomi Android 13 update for several popular models. This was the first internally released Xiaomi Android 13 based MIUI update. And as of yesterday, testing of the Android 13-based MIUI update has started on a number of devices.

On 28 July 2022, new devices were added to the test programme in China. A total of 12 phones are now available with the Android 13 test version, but only under the Chinese MIUI 13. The global version is still being recruited, but only for 2 phones. Moreover, we don't have global, we have EEA.

The build number of MIUI updates based on Android 13 on these devices is 22.7.27 . The new Android-based MIUI version is being tested on a number of devices. However, testing is currently ongoing on the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Redmi K50 Gaming, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50 and Redmi Note 11T Pro / Pro+, which have already started MIUI update tests based on Android 13.
