At a time when the Chinese technology industry was nothing more than a copy of Western gadgets, it brought a smile to our faces. After a while it was not so interesting, we settled down and the tech revolution started in the East. China started to make unique, interesting and useful gadgets. Since 2010, Xiaomi has become the third largest company, not to mention Apple's revolutionary innovations. Both companies have been targets of the copycat industry, but so far this is the most blatant marriage to have taken place in China.

The LeBest Phone X14 ProMax has recently been released on major Chinese online stores like TaoBao and JD. The phone looks like a mix of the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The body looks more like an iPhone, not to mention the triple camera module. But as you know, the full black rectangle is a Xiaomi trademark, as is the small display on the back. I haven't seen such blatant copying lately, especially from such a well-known Chinese online store.

But it was not enough! They took pictures of the Xiaomi Civi 1S and replaced it with their own phone. Well, they didn't stand idly by and Civi's product manager took action. The product has been removed from the TaoBao store, but not yet from JD. Still, that's a pretty blatant copying in 2022.

Hardware

The marriage or marriage of the two top phones only gave the successor a similarity in appearance, not in hardware. The usual shoddy Chinese junk, a jumbled up waste of hardware units lying at the bottom of the box. The processor is the UNISOC T610, which brings the MTK Helio G88 level of Also in Redmi 10. So in terms of performance, it's a low-end phone. Its LCD screen has FHD+ resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate. So it's rubbish.

Its 3,700 mAh battery might last a day, but it supports 25W fast charging. But then comes the camera, the most fun. The front selfie camera is 8 MP which is average for a sub-range, but the rear... the main camera is 16 MP, the one with a telephoto lens is only 3 MP and there's an ultra wide angle with 2 MP

Price

You can still buy this thing in China for 999 Yuan (~59.000 Ft), in three colours, with 6 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage.
