The soon-to-be-launched Xiaomi 13 series will apparently not be extended with a half-generation version. This was officially announced by Xiaomi CEO , do not expect the Xiaomi 13S phone series.
The upgraded half-generation "S" versions of Xiaomi's previous generation flagship phones have not been released from the mainland. A completely different series, marked "T", was released here. However, there is a very interesting phone in the series that is already conceptual , the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It looks like that won't happen with this year's top-of-the-range phones.
Xiaomi CEOLei Jun announced this morningthat there are no plans for a mid-generation update of the Xiaomi 13. So there will be no Xiaomi 13S and its variants like last year. Even if there will be a new Ultra version, it will be called the plain Xiaomi 13 Ultra. But this announcement doesn't completely mean that it won't happen in Europe. Or we could get something different here again than in China and expect the Xiaomi 13T family. We will find out.
