The scammers were trying to make some bitcoin with a fake iPhone 13 event, and unfortunately they seem to have succeeded.

In recent years, we have seen an increasing number of cases where fraudsters misuse the names of well-known individuals, banks, utility companies or even large corporations. This is no different in the case of cryptocurrency scams, for example, an Apple-related scam has recently come to light, where criminals hungry for bitcoin used the recently unveiled iPhone 13-were used as bait.

According to Apple Insider reported that various Apple videos were shown at the fake iPhone event, some of which even featured the company's front man Tim Cook, to give the impression of authenticity. The videos featured various messages asking viewers to visit a website (www.2021apple.org), which is the Zscaler it looked like the official Apple website. If the victim was hooked, i.e. clicked on the link provided, the portal would eventually display an invitation to earn a never-to-return bitcoin. All the person had to do was send 0.1-20 Bitcoins via a QR code, and once this was done, twice the amount would be returned. From there, it's not hard to guess that the promised bitcoin never arrived in the victims' wallets.
