Leica Summilux

The name Summilux is a combination of the word Summum, which is the Latin word for "highest", and Lux, which means "light". The first Summilux was the 50 mm in 1959, followed in 1961 by a new 50 mm Summilux design, whose optics remained unchanged until it was replaced by the 50 mm Summilux-M ASPH in 2004.

The maximum f-stop of Summilux lenses is f/1.4, f/1.5 or sometimes f/1.7. This is 1.5 stops lower than Leica Noctilux lenses, but Summilux lenses are smaller as a result. Summilux lenses are designed for low-light photography - Wikipedia

If the Xiaomi 14 series can use similar parameters to the Summilux optics, topped with an adapted sensor, it could be very impressive. Of course, this will also require good software, which the new HyperOS will be an integral part of. Could Xiaomi be on the throne again? We'll see at the end of the month!
