After three days in space, the SpaceX space tourists have successfully returned to space, having launched their Crew Dragon capsule into space at 2am Hungarian time on 16 September.

The spacecraft landed in the Atlantic Ocean at 1.6 a.m. Hungarian time on 19 September, successfully completing a mission to the Inspiration4-I was christened. This is a significant step forward for SpaceX, as Crew Dragon was the first vehicle in the world to carry only civilians into space.

After landing, the space capsule was lifted from the sea onto a ship, from which the Broadcast on the four amateur astronauts landed with glee: Jared Isaacman 38-year-old American billionaire, Hayley Arceneaux 29-year-old medical assistant, Dr Sian Proctor 51-year-old college teacher and Christopher Sembroski 41-year-old software engineer. On re-entry, the outer surface of the spacecraft was scorched by frictional temperatures, but apart from that, the landing went perfectly without any errors.

The historic mission was funded by Jared Isaacman (third from left in the picture), who bought up the tickets for the three-day space trip and then distributed them to the people who offered the most money for the StJude Children's Research Hospital.

Inspiration4 is also of particular importance because it could pave the way for space tourism and commercial space flights, making space tourism technologically accessible to civilians in the near future.
