A Twitter user shared a picture of a Poco X3 that exploded while charging. And unfortunately, this is not the first incident.

In April this year, a Poco X3 exploded, and Poco gave an explanation for the possible cause of the problem: they believe the device may have been subjected to external pressure.

The distressed owner wrote on Twitter, "I just bought this phone two months ago and look at it, it exploded while charging. Shame on poco and us! If you don't replace this phone I will report you!"

The translation is not literal, original post here.

The pictures show that a large part of the back cover has come off, and there are some pretty nasty burn marks where the phone used to be.

The Poco X3 was launched last September, with an FHD+ display and 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 732G, an eight-core chip clocked at 2.3GHz with Adreno 618 GPU.

The phone comes with a large 6000 mAh battery that can be fast charged at 33 watts.

Such cases are relatively complex: there can be a design flaw, as in the case of the famous Galaxy Note 7, but most of the time other factors come into play, such as the charger, the cable, and unexpected changes in the electrical network. Of course, one can only know for sure when the case is investigated, and as this is not the first case, it is possible that it could be a design fault, or just an unfortunate combination of circumstances that trigger these undoubtedly unpleasant, life-threatening, outrageous situations.
