Already we have previously reported that MIUI 12.5 has undergone internal changes that make it faster and smoother. The newly formed Chinese development team, tasked with improving the user experience, did a great job. The result is the improved MIUI 12.5.
Applications open faster, animations are smoother and smoother, performance is better and power consumption is lower. When it was last announced, only Chinese users could enjoy it on a few phones, but it has now started to roll out globally.

The number of new features in the improved MIUI 12.5 isn't overwhelming, but it's impressive. But unfortunately for us Europeans, we'll have to wait to get it, if we get it. It's currently only available for these phones and regions outside of China:
- Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra - Indonesia
- Xiaomi Mi 11X - India
Available in China now for Mi 10/S/Pro, Mi 11/Pro/Ultra, Redmi K30/K30S Ultra, Redmi K40/Pro, Mix 4.
The list will keep growing, but unfortunately there's no official word yet on which phones will still get it, but according to the Chinese list: Mi 10 / Pro, Mi 11 / Pro / Ultra, Mi 10T / Pro, Poco F2 Pro, Poco F3.
What's new in the improved MIUI 12.5:
Fast performance. More life between options.
Focused algorithms: our new algorithms dynamically allocate system resources based on specific scenes, ensuring a seamless experience for all models.
Atomized memory: a highly fine-grained memory management mechanism makes RAM more efficient.
Liquid storage: new sensitive storage mechanisms come to life and respond to the system over time.
The global line will be updated first, followed by the India/Indonesia line and only then will the update be available in Europe. The global updates are scheduled for Q4 2021, later this year, but we don't have a more precise date than that. Unfortunately we also don't know when the EEA (European) ruins will get this fantastic update. As soon as the list is updated, we'll be back with more details!
