The other day, I was in Budapest and thought I'd stop by the Xiaomi store in the Arena Mall, which was on my way. I was shocked to see that the shop was closed...

The Arena Mi Store opened on 12 October 2019, which we have written about on our site and we reported live from the opening. But I was shocked to look around the unloaded shop.

The shop was almost completely cleared out, but there were still some Xiaomi products left. But they didn't even think to cover the shop window with something, because that would reflect very badly not only on the shop, but even on the brand. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about the adventurous history of the Arena Mall Mi Store, I mean, there is no official communication from them, but we can't even write about the underlying issues...

After the physical shop, the xiaomieurope.hu webshop was opened, which is also closed. It was still open in January, as was their Facebook page. However, the last post on their FB page was on 27 January 2021, and since then there has been no activity, no announcements or anything to inform followers, customers and fans about the current situation.

We hope someone from the business reads this article and can respond to the situation in a meaningful way, either from management or from the workforce. Xiaomi is not on the list of official partners in Hungary either, it would be nice to get an answer to that too!
