The latest members of the Redmi Note family have finally arrived, with four phones in total. From the simple 5G to the Exploration Edition. Each member of the Redmi Note 12 series brought something special and even got good prices in China.
Redmi Note 12 5G
The Redmi Note 12 is the smallest in the family. Simple interior, design typical of the big ones. Flat, 6.67″ OLED display with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor and 5,000 mAh battery. Camera is not abundant, at the back there is a 48 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. And on the front, you get 8 MP for selfies. The memory is quite extensive, with 4/6/8 GB to choose from, as is the storage, 128 or 256 GB:

Redmi Note 12 Pro
Well! The Redmi Note 12 Pro is now a slightly more exciting phone. The most outstanding feature is the Sony IMX766 sensor and all the features that come with it. In front of the sensor, there is a 7-member lens element with a very special coating to protect against flare or ghosting. It's equipped with optical image stabilisation, so you won't really get a blurry shot or a shaky image when shooting footage. The camera software, in China for now of course, has got some new features. You can shoot in realtime with effects that you could only add afterwards, for example on Instagram.
It also comes with a very attractive screen. It's also completely flat, with 1920 Hz high-frequency PWM, 10,000 levels of brightness and a diamond-like RGB pixel layout. This produces brilliant picture quality.
But let's not forget the reason for the world premiere of the phone. This is the first phone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. It's a chip built with 6nm technology that can now handle cameras with 200 MP resolution. For an endless gaming experience, it's aided by a 12-layer graphite thermal management system and a highly thermally conductive aluminium alloy frame. This only increases the heat dissipation by 77%. But all this comes at a price. That's exactly how much:

Well, there's the rub! Now for the interesting facts! Introducing the first HIGH-END or Flagship or whatever, 200 MP camera in Redmi history! A Samsung ISOCELL HPX 200 MP is a really well done sensor. With 16in1 pixel fusion, it's true that it only takes 12.5 MP digital images, but each pixel is made up of 16 others. That's how you get the most perfectly scene-sharp every pixel of your image and wildly sharp. Of course, there's the option to up the megapixels and capture 50 or 200 million pixels. So the quality degrades, but you can zoom it very effectively.
True to its name, we also get the Pro+ screen, which is also in the regular Pro phone, but the 5,000 mAh battery can now be sent to 120 W. Which is a pittance compared to the next handset. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. The processor is still the MTK D1080, because it's got a lot of punch and as I wrote above, it can handle the 200 MP camera. I won't even mention the other two cameras, they are so puritanical it's a bit ridiculous. Okay. There is also an 8 MP super wide angle (119º FOV) and a 2 MP macro. I told you... Now the prices:

Well? Did you read the poster quickly? Huh? What's 210W and the 9 next to it? Oh yes my friend, that's the 210W charge! And yes, it charges to 0-100% in 9 minutes! I was also just scratching my head at the demonstration, what the heck???? Very gross! In 2022, a mid-range phone brand is introducing a 9 minute phone. That's pretty cool.
But that's not all. The Exploration Edition edition has arrived in China with all the other goodies of Pro+. 200 MP camera, the new super OLED display, 5,000 mAh battery, MTK D1080 SoC, etc. But how much are you asking for a phone that can easily compete on Xiaomi's main line?
