Friday is when the public Chinese weekly beta MIUI update usually comes out and that's when contribute to important information for the future. Today was no different, but it was an announcement that surprised me a little. No, it's not MIUI 14, but...

Hamarosan jön a MIUI 14

As of today, there are a lot of phones listed in the announcement, although this is only true for the Chinese update. The weekly releases will be released internally on Wednesday and will not be public until Friday. If this is confusing... But why is this important to you? I'll tell you after the announcement.

Weekly beta announcement

MIUI 13 - China Beta 22.10.26

  • This is last daily beta of MIUI. They ended China Beta builds with 22.10.26 build.
  • This is probably last beta of MIUI 13.
  • This is last beta of Mi 11 LE / Mi 11 Lite 5G NE (lisa), Redmi Note 10 5G (camellia), Redmi Note 11 5G (evergo) and Redmi Note 11E Pro (veux) due to the small number of participants.
  • This is last beta of Mi 10 Ultra (cas), Redmi K30S Ultra / Mi 10T (apollo), Redmi Note 9 Pro / Mi 10i / Mi 10T Lite (gauguin), Redmi Note 9 4G (lime), Redmi 10X (atom), Redmi 10X Pro (bomb), Redmi K30 Ultra, Redmi Note 9 5G (cannon) due end of China Beta support.
  • Other devices stopped due to Android 13 upgrade.

So they have completely stopped the daily beta updates. This is of no importance to us. But the essence of the second entrythat this is the last MIUI 13 beta update. What does this mean for us? Well, it means that the next beta is already MIUI 14 will be! And we're happy about that, because it's already a tangible fact that the new MIUI is coming soon. Although we knew it from rumours, this is now a certainty.

In the following paragraph, beta updates for some phones have been stopped due to lack of interest. This won't affect us either, although almost all of them are available here at home, only on stable EEA branches, which is unrelated.

In the penultimate paragraph, you'll find information about stopping beta updates for outdated phones. There are quite a few in the list, devices still in use in our country. What does this mean for us? Well, it means that the official beta shutdown will be followed by the shutdown of the stable branch within a few months. So the MIUI update for the phones listed in this will be permanently discontinued on all branches, including ours.

And in the final paragraph, it was announced that updates to other phones have also been halted, due to the Android 13 base update. It was not specified exactly which phones, but conditional list already existswhat they might be.
