Another astonishing video has emerged of a robot called Ameca, who can react to events with frighteningly human-like reactions.

We have previously we wrote Ameca, a humanoid robot developed by UK-based Engineered Arts, who has almost the full range of human facial expressions and emotions, and in fact articulates almost like a real, flesh-and-blood human. Engineers have described Ameca as a "the perfect humanoid robot platform for human-robot interaction".

The developers have now published a new video showing how respond Ameca on what is happening in the environment. The video shows the robot following the moving finger with its eyes, then furrowing its eyebrows and pushing the researcher's hand away when it enters its intimate sphere.

"This is starting to freak us out at Engineered Arts, and we should be used to it" - is how researchers reacted to Ameca's undoubtedly spectacular, but still terrifyingly human-like behaviour.

The The Verge a previous report according to Ameca cannot walk at the moment, but they want to give her this ability in the future. According to Engineered Arts, the humanoid robot will be on display live at CES 2022 in January.

The Cornwall-based company has also recently unveiled another robot, which may have even more human-like facial expressions than the one pictured above. Mesmer the designers have tried to perfectly model human bone structure, skin texture and give the stick a lifelike expression.
