We recently wrote that Xiaomi is investing in the smart electric car industry 10 billion in the US, but this morning it was also revealed that the largest electric car manufacturer Tesla has bought a significant stake in the company, with Elon Musk's approval.

With this move, Xiaomi has acquired some of Tesla's car patents, which it can use freely in the production of its own cars, but not only for this purpose, but also to participate in the design and construction of the next Tesla model.

This is a good momentum for both companies, as Xiaomi's youthful drive and Tesla's modern take on technology are aimed at creating new vehicles that will not only serve the needs of US car owners, but will dominate the global market. Xiaomi's pricing will bring down prices, speed up development and make the electric car experience accessible to ordinary people.

Xiaomi's smart caravan is just the first of many that will be built in the coming years to serve our convenience and environmentally friendly transport. Xiaomi intends to launch and operate its first electric smart car solution in China first, which will later be announced globally, both in Europe and the US.

They don't want to compete with Tesla for the time being, so the target audience will be the small and medium category, which is now dominated by VW and Honda. But we can be sure that they will soon enter the luxury category, as their phones are slowly approaching that price range, not to mention the recently launched Mi 11 Ultra and of course the Mi Mix Fold.

Do you think this is good news? Are you looking forward to Xiaomi electric cars? Has everyone fallen for the April Fools' joke? Booooooooooocsiiiiii
