More than 8 thousand clicks to my article, in which I showed two photos of the Xiaomi 12. This Xiaomi 12 has been the subject of new rumours by a known leaker. Xiaomi and Motorola could be the first two manufacturers to come out with Snapdragon 898-equipped phones, this was shared by my favourite leaker Digital Chat Station on Weiob. According to reports, Motorola is planning to launch the phones by the end of the year, but Xiaomi could be ahead of it, once again pioneering Qualcomm's new chip, as it did last year with the Mi 11 and Snapdragon 888.
Meanwhile, another leaker IceUniverse shared the Geekbench score of the upcoming Snapdragon 898 chip. They are about 15% higher than the Snapdragon 888's scores and about 5% better than the 888 plus scores. However, the test was not run on finalised hardware, so it's possible that performance gains could be higher than this.
Qualcomm traditionally unveils its new flagship chip in the first days of December. For the past three years, Xiaomi's CEO has appeared on the same stage, confirming the manufacturer's commitment to the company. Interestingly, Samsung is rumoured to have postponed the launch of the Galaxy S22 series until February 2022, so Motorola could be ahead of its Korean competitor, becoming the second manufacturer after Xiaomi to use the new chip.
Another interesting fact is the name. Since the Snapdrgon 835, every Qulacomm top 5 has ended in 5, up to the 865. The next one was 888, which is why in this article we wrote. Based on the leaks, it looks like this year's chip will follow last year's series, so it will most likely be 898.
