Not everyone may know, but Xiaomi's first product was the MIUI interface. Since then it has grown into a complete system, you can love it and hate it. Xiaomi phones of course launched on MIUI, and then came the Redmi cheap version. At the time they were still one company, but In 2019, they separated and Redmi became a separate brand.

It's been two years now, but there's still a lot of confusion and the Xiaomi name is still being put in front of it, in order to make more money... But this is not about that, it's about the phone's software, MIUI. Unconfirmed source, known from Weibo Digital Chat Station broke the news. It says that Redmi will soon modify the MIUI interface with its own brand elements.

Weibo RedmiUI

A rough translation:

"Some of the Redmi MIUI user interfaces may need to be differentiated in detail from Xiaomi, primarily by adding own brand elements."

There are also a few brands other than Xiaomi that are still included here, such as Poco or Black Shark. These also have a different interface, so they don't look alike and when you switch, they really hit you with the novelty. Redmi is trying to do the same thing, so that when you switch between brands, you really get something different. Different looks, different software, different knowledge and last but not least, different price. The commenters are just referring to it as RedmiUI, although there will be no name change, just max the launcher.

Unfortunately, there is no official info about this plan yet, neither on Redmi's site, nor on Lu Weibing's or his colleagues' sites. It's even possible that they'll separate here with the MIUI 13 update. But as soon as we have more info on the RedmiUI interface, we'll be back with details!
