Years have passed since the first generation of smartwatches was launched. Despite continuous improvements and dozens of versions, the demand for traditional mechanical watches has not diminished. While the lifespan of a smartwatch is only a few years, a quality (analogue) mechanical watch can last for decades, for generations.
Xiaomi also offers a range of wearable timepieces. We have also written about a about quartz watches, which requires a separate power supply (battery) to operate.
But now we present Xiaomi's first mechanical automatic watch, the Xi Jia full hollow mechanical watch. (The final name is subject to change!)

A few weeks ago, the product was released on the social funding platform without any fuss. A Xiaomi I8 Quartz Wristwatch made a convincing impression, but was not stylish enough, too traditional to stand out from the crowd.
But based on the pictures we have leaked, the product we are presenting is a very impressive premium product, with several patents and awards.

The Xiaomi "skeleton" double-sided hollow mechanical watch stands out from the crowd with its revolutionary style. The watch has won the German Red Dot Design 2017 Awards.
The watch is produced by Xiaomi's partner CIGA Design developed by. The following pictures speak for themselves:

At the time of writing, the funding required stands at €586%, almost six times the amount needed to complete the project. Among the funders, 10 lucky ones will receive a free class within a week.

The watch is supplied and sold by Shenzhen Yijia Innovation Co., Ltd.

It is expected to go on sale on 8 January 2018, at a price of 32.000 HUF, which may increase when the webshop starts selling.
