Xiaomi has given a huge boost to the foldable phone market so far, with its latest phone giving the competition a run for its money. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 has beaten the market with its incredible innovation, quality and durability. But only in China, as it won't be coming to us officially. But today another foldable Xiaomi phone has hit the IMEI database, but it's not a vertical fold, but a horizontal fold. The Xiaomi Mix Flip is coming!
Total shipments of foldable screen mobile phones in the Chinese market reached 2.27 million units in the first half of the year, an annual growth of 102.0%. Among the top six brands, Xiaomi accounted for around 82,000 units with a share of 5.6%. At present, Samsung, Huawei, OPPO and vivo have adopted the parallel strategy of "large foldable + small foldable", while Xiaomi and Honor have only launched "large foldable" phones.
Now available in the IMEI database is the Xiaomi MIX Flip (2311BPN23C), if nothing else it's Xiaomi's upcoming vertical folding screen phone. Apart from its code number, nothing has been revealed about the phone, which might include an expected release date. Like Xiaomi's 14 or Redmi Note 13 code numbers, this one starts with "2311", which refers to the date of 2023.11. So expect it to be unveiled alongside the other phones in November this year.
The above photos of the police are based on leaked information. Opened up, the phone has the usual look, with a perforated screen in the middle, probably with a 6.4″ diagonal. Folded up, or just looking at the back, you get a Xiaomi feel. The camera trio is positioned on a slightly prominent camera island, with the secondary display below. Looking past the competition, this will have to be flatter than the Mix Fold 3 if it wants to stay in the race.
