A long time ago, in a country in the Far East, it was thought that Xiaomi phones should have a PC program like iTunes. This was to meet the needs of people who were used to downloading stuff back and forth from their PCs. Plus you could also back up data, install roms, etc. Xiaomi has created the Mi Phone Assistant and provided a solution for everything.
When everything wasn't banned and Android was freer, we could do almost everything with our own phones. But unfortunately that's changed now, it's slowly becoming as closed as iOS. But there's still hope to manage your phone! Back in the day, Xiaomi made the management of our phone available to everyone, in English, under the name Mi PC Suite.
Unfortunately, the development of an English-language and comprehensible app stopped years ago and does not recognise any new phones. However, development has continued in China and the name has been changed to Xiaomi Mi Phone Assistant. But that's not the end of the story, as the default language is still Chinese, which we didn't understand. So far.
We've brought you the latest version of the English-language Xiaomi Mi Phone Assistant, which now handles all new phones! While not as feature-rich as its predecessor, it can still be very useful for us. On the first screen, we can take a screenshot of our phone. We can see the model number, serial number, MIUI version and Android version of the phone.
Backup
We can use it to back up our computer with the following data:

- Contacts
- Call log
- Factory applications
- Applications installed
- Images from
- Videos
- Music
- Documents
- WeChat data
Restore
But if something goes wrong, we can restore this backup to our phone and get back to business as usual.
