This morning, starting at 8:00am Hungarian time, we got to see the Mi 9 Pro 5G, the most powerful and best of the family.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G has received the hardware as expected and as rumoured, but many details have just been revealed.
5G
5G mobile network speeds are nothing new, we saw them last year at the Mi Mix 3 5G launches and tests. Its theoretical speed is 2 Gbps, but real-world measurements so far have not exceeded 1.78 Gbps.
To maintain this speed, 7 antennas are used so that you always have a connection, no matter how you hold the phone.
Of course it has the latest SD SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+, which comes with a whopping 12 GB of memory and up to 512 GB of storage.
High performance means high heat, and the Mi 9 Pro takes this away with liquid cooling. 1.127 mm2 area, a temperature reduction of up to 10.2 °C can be achieved.

And they finally ignored the size and stuffed in a 4.000 mAh battery. So the camera doesn't stick out of the case and lasts at least 1 day of heavy use.
But if that's not enough, there's also the brutally fast charging system, with 40W of power coming through the wires, which charges the phone incredibly fast, from 20% in 5 minutes to 100% in 48 minutes. The only question is how long the cells will last... plus, as an added bonus, we get a fast charger in the package, with 45W of charging power, which is good for charging Xiaomi and Apple laptops!
As we've written before, the Pro also has wireless charging, and at 30W, which also lets you charge your phone lightning fast, from 50% in 25 minutes to 100% in 69 minutes.
Xiaomi provides a new wireless charger with active cooling to prevent overheating between the charger and the phone.

It will be available in two colours, Dream White and Titanium Black.
Its rear triple camera has delivered the expected idea, with the Sony IMX586 main unit at 48 MP resolution, the ultra wide-angle Sony IMX481 at 16MP and the telephoto lens at 12 MP.
But they have also given us a new feature, the transverse linear vibration motor, which is capable of 150 different types of vibration. It also comes in handy in the game to feel the difference between a small gun and an RPG.
Of course, NFC is not missing from a top phone, and there are even more uses, such as public transport cards, bank cards, access cards, eID (electronic identity card) and car keys.
The sound technology taken over from the Redmi brand only raises the standard, citizens who are roaring Bódi Gusztit on the street can be happy...
To sum up what we have seen, we get an outstandingly good phone from Xiaomi, but for how much?
