Hungary's oldest webshop selling Xiaomi ecosystem products celebrates its 5th anniversary this year. Rather than celebrating, xiaomishop is focusing on its customers and adding fresh new models to its already rich assortment. If you have visited the site or follow the Facebook page of Xshophu (the reason for the name in the description of their site), you will see a steady stream of the latest smartphones and the latest products that are in the top of the curve for Hungarian customers.
Even though Xiaomi products have not become easier to buy in 2019 (the "manufacturing capacity") - instead of constantly explaining and pointing to the manufacturer, the xiaomishop team is working to make all their fresh products available for the Hungarian market.Although it's only September, I can't count how many Xiaomi phones and other products I have already gotten my hands on thanks to them.
And to make a long story short, here are a few of the dozens of products to get you ready for the autumn season:
1. Mi 9 Lite -> product link
It's only been 2 weeks since the Mi 9 Lite was unveiled, but you'll see an unboxing and test before October. It's incredible that last year we had to wait up to 1-2 months for this, this year it's basically here in the weeks following the launch.
The Mi 9 worked very well for me, even with the relatively thin battery ounpleasant moments. This now comes in the Lite version, which is living up to its name compared to its predecessor (Mi 8 Lite). Alongside the frugal and power-packed Snapdragon 710 SoC, we get a larger (4030mAh) battery (compared to the Mi 9's 3300mAh). There's not much of a step back in terms of camera, as the 48MP Sony main sensor is inherited from the Mi 9, and the additional sensors may be familiar from the Mi 9T. Selfie lovers will also be happy, as the Mi A3 comes with the 32MP Samsung sensor, with all the embellishments, and the ability to wash out the background and take group selfies with the wide angle of view. On the plus side, the 3.5mm jack is back, so you can listen to music from both analogue and digital audio outputs. The display is identical to the 6.39" Samsung AMOLED panel used in the Mi 9, as is the integrated fingerprint scanner. NFC remains, but wireless charging support has been removed, and wired charging is at 18W (so it takes about 2 hours to fully charge). The most interesting thing for me is the illuminated Xiaomi logo on the back, which is supposed to be RGB.
We'll have a good look at it when it arrives, sometime later this week. The price isn't friendly yet, but for those who don't like the Mi 9T, the Mi 9 Lite could be an alternative.

2. Roborock S6 robot vacuum cleaner -> product link

After some production capacity shortages, the successor to the uncrowned king of the S5 series of robot vacuum cleaners, the S6, will finally be available in Hungary.Although I know from the posts that some of our readers already own the fresh vacuum cleaner, the real domestic sales are just starting, with manufacturer support, domestic service and professional support.
I'm already convinced by its predecessor, in the family an S55 has been doing the dirty work for 9 months now :) They haven't calculated how many days of free time they've saved, but after their dishwasher, it's the most useful household cleaning tool.
The S6 is not only quieter, it's also much smarter, so it's more efficient, faster and more energy efficient. While the S5 could save roughly 150 minutes on the same battery, the S6 could save 3 hours! More efficient cleaning, quieter, less time, check. Now it's on the Christmas gift list. But if you don't want to wait another 3 months and want to start vacuuming now, you can order it now, as they will be available from stock from October. And in the time saved, you can watch a movie on Mi TV or do more sports and relaxation.
We plan to test it in early October, and more of them.

3. Redmi Note 8 Pro -> product link
The base Redmi Note 8 is also facing manufacturing difficulties, with hardly any news. However, to our surprise, the Pro version is here, which the manufacturer is specifically targeting gamers. Two components are making their debut here, indicating that this really is a Pro model. First of all, MediaTek has managed to create a processor that Xiaomi has taken on board, hopefully not forgetting to support it. According to the factory specs, the Helio G90T's performance is above the Snapdragon 710 (it's also in the Mi 9 Lite) and it has an even bigger advantage in GPU. To keep continuous performance at a minimum, it has a similar liquid cooling as the Mi 9. This keeps the core temperature up to 4-6°C lower than the ambient temperature, so the processor doesn't slow down and the comfort is less affected by the "hot" back. The antenna design has also been thought of, a split/doubled solution previously seen on Black Shark phones. The idea is that we can't clamp the handset casing in a way that interferes with Wi-Fi or the mobile network, so there's no sudden interrupted server connection in case of a stream (our fault at least). Another new feature of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is Samsung's 64MP ISOCELL 4-in-1 sensor, whose predecessors perform in the Redmi Note 7, or even the upcoming Redmi Note 8 (48MP). This sensor will be complemented by 3 additional sensors, and different lenses with different viewing angles. In addition to the 120° ultra-wide angle of view (which has also received distortion reduction), we get a dedicated super macro unit with 2cm close-up, depth of field and Portrait lenses, and there's the main sensor with 64MP resolution, from which we can also take detail close-ups. All without significant quality degradation. We'll be curious to see, a test of this will take place in early October. What's left is the huge 6.53" display and the 4500mAh battery. We'll see if it can last 2 days.
There has also been a lot of buzz among domestic commentators about the re-use of MediaTek processors, with some "informed individuals" already writing off the phone. We, however, do not live in the past, we trust our own eyes, and in this test we will see what a modern processor can do today (I intended a paragraph here as an example, but suffice it to say that there are two well-known brands that are known to produce processors for PCs...there will always be a counter-argument)
The emerald green colour will be a big hit, as long as there is manufacturing capacity.
4. Fimi X8 SE - black colour  -> product link
There have been several domestic tests, Hungarian feature guides, several commercials and attempts to market it. In the end, xiaomishop still offers FIMI's most powerful drone to date, which is currently the best alternative to the dji in terms of price and capability. It's not flawless, it can't do everything the competition can do, but for many it's plenty enough. Moreover, I like the colour palette of the raw video better than with a similar product from dji, where hard post-processing is required for a worthwhile end result. There is also manufacturer support and support here, with domestic service and a 2 year warranty.
And the black colour is just icing on the cake. It looks nice in the picture, and "totally dji", but if you're not comfortable with white, you might want to try the black edition.
5. Mi TV 4S 43" -> product link
There were promises from Xiaomi last year, but finally this autumn we managed to get 1-2 models of the Mi TV 4S and 4A series actually available. The current largest Global version, the 55" model which is already being tested, will be joined by the medium model with its 43" (108cm) screen. The 4K UHD + HDR is identical, as are the internal electronics and the feature set.
I found two small differences, instead of 3db the 43" has only 2db USB ports, and instead of 2×10 we have to make do with 2x8W speakers. The sound of the 55" version is not bad, but for serious movies and music you will have to buy a Soudbar / Sounddeck. (My Philips, which is a few months old, has 25W with its own subwoofer, but I was one of the first to replace it with a usable sounddeck). So you should also look at a Xiaomi Mi Soundbar. So two sizes of the trio are now available, with the smallest Mi TV 4A expected in weeks at a very fair price.
Well, these are the new things that I think they can spin in the next period. I'm really looking forward to them all, and we'll try to get them up here and on our YouTube channel as soon as possible.
And don't forget, there's a launch on September 24th, where the Mi 9 5G, Mi MIX Alpha (maybe Mi MIX 4 too), updated entry-level Redmi models and the 8K Mi TV Pro will be unveiled.
