A month ago, the Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite phones were introduced, which are trying to fill the gap between the Mi 8 - SE - EE, both in terms of knowledge and price. At the presentation, we also heard, among other things, that the phones will soon be sold globally by Xiaomi. Until now we didn't know, we only guessed, which country would be the first, but our guess was wrong, we chose Spain.

Donovan Sung announced today on Twitter that global sales of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite will begin in Ukraine, with a European launch on Wednesday 17 October 2018 in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. For the launch, Donovan will fly there to meet fans in person at the local Mi Store and launch the official European sales of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite at 19:00 local time.

The Mi 8 Lite is the most affordable in the family, with a 6.26″ FHD+ display, 12/5MP dual rear and 24MP selfie camera, SD660 processor. It has neither infrared face unlock nor an in-screen fingerprint scanner, making it the most affordable of the big ones.

No word on domestic distribution yet, but if it's B20 compatible and includes Hungarian language, we can be sure that the official domestic In Mi Stor and the biggest Xiaomi online store will also be available for purchase.
