Xiaomi released the Chinese version of MIUI9 based on Android 8.0 Oreo several weeks ago for phones such as Xiaomi Mi5, Mi Mix and Mi Note 2. Xiaomi confirmed at its English MIUI website that selected MIUI fans can test the Global update, which also contains the Hungarian language.

MIUI 9.5 Global Stable ROM is available for as many as 30 types of smartphones, however, the update contains only the latest MIUI version but not the newest version of the Android operating system. From March 2018 it is available for the following phones. We are expecting to get the update in April the phones such as.

Coming back to the topic of Global development branc, Xiaomi has already released the update of Android 8.0 Oreo for devices like Mi A1, Mi MIX 2, Mi 6, Redmi Note 5 Pro. However, there are devices such as Mi Note 3, Redmi 5, Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5A Prime, Redmi Note 5A, Redmi Note 5A Prime Mi Max 2, Mi Note 2, Mi MIX, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5, Mi 5X, Mi 5C and Mi Pad 3, which have not yet got the new Android version.

As I mentioned it above, they are looking for test makers for Android 8 Global beta so within some weeks the official edition is expected to come to light. If you feel like taking part in it and you meet the requirements, you can apply here at the  English forum.  You also need to have a Xiaomi Mi5, Mi Mix or Mi note 2 phone. The release of the Stable ROM can be expected one month after the public beta rom. It was the same in the case of Mi6. Tests started in January and the Android Oreo based Global Stable ROM was released already late February.
