In the run up to Thursday's launch, the Xiaomi 14 screen was also unveiled, we got some posters and specs, which are quite promising. Although compared to the specs of other flagship phones, it's almost basic knowledge.

Xiaomi CEO, Xiaomi's CEO, has once again duly explained, on the one hand, what the Xiaomi 14's screen has to offer; and on the other, why it's difficult to make a small-screen flagship phone year after year. To translate his words:

The Xiaomi 12 series Xiaomi's flagships officially became small flagships, with the Xiaomi 14 now in its third generation. It is very difficult to make a small, versatile flagship. You can't shrink a device just because of its small size; you can't give up the pursuit of the ultimate experience just because of its small size. In a tight space, loading fully featured hardware and unleashing its full capabilities is a test of the depth of technology in different areas, while at the same time placing extremely high demands on software and hardware collaboration, and the R&D challenges are very high.

Since its launch at the end of last year, the Xiaomi 13. Almost unique small size, versatile flagship. Widely praised for its extremely narrow equilateral shape, good screen, good battery life. Building on the Xiaomi 13, the Xiaomi 14 sets a higher challenge: not to be the strongest in its class, but to go beyond the next level. The screen is the first project we're tackling. Our idea of solving the problem is to start from the root and continue to improve the screen's lighting material. Xiaomi and CSOT's long-standing and in-depth technical collaboration has once again brought forward the industry-leading C8 luminescent material, which achieves both brightness and low power consumption with its ultra-high luminous efficiency.

The Xiaomi 14 has a peak brightness of an astonishing 3000 nits, which is the top in the industry. The LTPO technology has also been enhanced to achieve an adaptive high refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, with a pixel accuracy of 460ppi. Thanks to the C8's luminous material and Xiaomi's deep optimization of the display chip process, power consumption is directly reduced by 17% compared to the previous generation C7. This is almost the optimal power consumption on the current 1.5K screen to reach the full brightness range. Not only does it allow small mobile phones to enjoy the best screen experience and battery life at the same time, the Xiaomi 14 is even better this time around.
