The first of the 12 Xiaomi rumours is the I would highlight the date of publication, which is already scheduled for Tuesday 28 December. But we also "know" a lot more about the new Xiaomi series that is coming. But!
Weibo-There are pictures circulating on the internet of a box with a sign saying not to open it before the press conference on 9.12.2021, 10:00. Boxes like this are sent by Xiaomi to local influencers so that they can show and test the latest phone before the launch. So they can post their own material about the phone immediately after the launch. But unfortunately, this has already been disproved. The picture above is fake!
First, a negative rumour that the Xiaomi 12 series will not yet have a hidden selfie camera like the Mix 4. Unfortunately, this solution is not yet efficient and cheap enough to be adapted to a series of this volume. So the newest top phones will still have a perforated screen, more than likely it will be centered. But rumour has it that this will also be a small improvement, as it will have the smallest selfie camera cutout compared to its predecessors.
The Xiaomi 12 series will of course also have a Lite version. The picture above is just a FAKE picture, compiled from the rumours so far, from K30/Civi/11 phones. The Xiaomi 12 Lite is codenamed "Taoyao" and has a global release model number 2203129G. It is expected to have a 6.55″ AMOLED FHD+ display with 120 Hz refresh. It is possible that we will again find the fingerprint reader under the screen, not on the power button. Its screen may be curved like the Civi, and its processor will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G or 780G. Its triple camera may consist of a 64 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide and 5 MP macro.
And the Xiaomi 12 Lite ZOOM, like the regular Lite, has everything but an extra telephoto lens with 5x zoom in the camera. Its appearance will be similar to the Civi. We can expect their release in 2022, if they follow the previous series.
This is theoretically the back of the Xiaomi 12. It features a triple camera, dual LED flash and laser AF. Like the back, the camera module/island will also get a fingerprint-free glass (AG) coating and maybe even a colour match to prevent it from getting knocked over. No word yet on what the cameras will be, but rumours are that it will have a 50 MP main camera.

In terms of release, only the regular 12 will be released this year, but there may be more to come. For now, it will only be released in China and will not come to Europe until 2022. And we will inform you personally about the Hungarian launch!
