A Xiaomi a számítógép perifériákban sem marad el a versenytársaktól, egyszerű és nagyon gamer monitorral is szolgál a rajongóknak. Bár kis hazánk nem bővelkedik a kínálatban, hazájában minden igény ki tud elégíteni. Ma pedig egy új, ám egyszerű monitort dobott piacra, 100 Hz képfrissítéssel, 23.8″ képátlóval.
The Xiaomi Monitor A24i is not designed for gaming or media consumption, but simply for work. With a 23.8″ screen, you get a large enough workspace, and 100 Hz refresh rate is perfect for graphics work or video editing. Excel or Word is not the main problem here, any monitor will do. Although the resolution is only 1920 x 1080 pixels, it's generally sufficient. Of course, if you need 4K resolution for your work, Xiaomi has a solution for you too, and of course for those who want a larger surface area.
It's not suitable for gaming, 6 ms response time is not suitable for that, if you want to play FPS games or anything where fast response is important. And for strategy or other slow games, it doesn't matter what you're playing. Even on this one (office solitaire :-D ). However, the 16:9 aspect ratio is just right for most movies, although the cinema screen is thinner, but we're used to that on TVs. What's even better is the colour fidelity, covering 99% of the sRGB colour gamut with 16.7 million colours.
The monitor itself is ultra slim, at just 7.5mm thin and with standard VESA wall mounts, it doesn't just stand on its base. It doesn't suffer in terms of connectors either, although they aren't plentiful. It has 2 inputs, 1 of which is a 1. HDMI and 1. Displayport 1.4 version.
Displayport
The Display Port was developed by members of VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association). Their aim was to design and develop standards for the computer displays of the future. DisplayPort cables and connectors bear strong similarities to USB or HDMI cables used today. Thanks to the smaller interface, they are easier to use and can be displayed on more devices.
In addition to the video signal, Displayport is capable of 8 channels of 24-bit, 192 kHz uncompressed PCM audio. One of its biggest advantages is the presence of a so-called auxiliary channel. This extra channel allows additional video or data information to be transmitted in addition to the standard video signals.
Many of you may associate it with Apple's older connector, which is not quite the same. Although the basis and function is exactly the same, it has been reduced in size to fit into the thinner Apple laptop chassis, and so the mini Displayport (mDP) was born. Of course, this was followed by the now well-known Thunderbolt, which could now also transmit PCI Express data, but remained backwards compatible.
The Xiaomi Monitor A24i can be a great choice for simple office work with some graphics work thrown in, or for general home tasks. You can play around with it, make movies, write articles, even edit video or manipulate images. Unfortunately it is not priced yet, but you can find it in the domestic market for around 35.000 Ft. I hope Xiaomi will not price it higher, or only very slightly, max 40e.
