Yesterday, Xiaomi officially announced that a new Mi 8 Lite version will arrive today. This morning they also announced the 4+128GB variant, which will go on sale from 16 November. There is no information yet if this will be a Global version or if it will remain Chinese domestic, like the Gold version.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite and Mi 8 Pro are the first pair from the manufacturer to feature a colour-transparent back (no Global version of this version of the Mi 8 Pro has arrived yet, leaving us with the transparent Titanium version).

The base model of the Mi 8 Lite, which offers 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage, is priced at 1,399 yuan (~$201). The second version, which offers 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in storage, costs 1,699 yuan (~$244).
The highest configuration is 1,999 yuan (~$288) with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Xiaomi has not yet disclosed the price of the newly announced 4+128GB model. The new device is expected to be priced between 1799 yuan (~$259) or 1899 yuan (~$273).
The Global Mi 8 Lite variants are available in two colours (black and Aurora blue) from several domestic webshops. Let's look at the two big ones:

The Hungarian Mi Store (Lurdy) and its webshop on xiaomi.hu at the following prices with 1 year warranty, with own support:

  • 4+64GB Aurora blue : 79.900 Ft
  • 6+128GB black : 94.900 Ft

The xiaomishop.hu-and from at these prices available with 2 years warranty, own support:

  • 4+64GB Aurora blue and black : 74.990 Ft
  • 6+128GB Aurora blue and black : 87.990 Ft

(The selection and prices reflect the situation on 13.11.2018)

The first shipment has arrived at the Mi Store, and we have pictures of it. Thank you very much!

The number of Mi 8 Lite variants listed is 4, with the two colours combined to make 12 variants. According to our information, not all eight will be available in Hungary, as only four have received Global editions. So, the 6+64GB or the fresh 4+128GB will be the preserve of the Chinese for the time being, as will the gold colour, until the Global version is released.

The good news is that the Mi 8 Pro is also coming, expected to be available in December, for an unknown price, exclusively in 8+128GB transparent Titanium.
