Many Xiaomi fans are eagerly awaiting the device, and we're among them. The Xiaomi Mi5C will be the first model from the Chinese company to feature the brand new Pinecone V670 SoC and is expected to be launched in March.

Man a new device photo was leaked from the computer of a Weibo user @strong and according to the leak, a Foxconn comes from a factory. The picture (the first one) shows a device that is presumably the Xiaomi Mi 5C, but it has no physical Home button at all and the front camera is on the right, compared to the previous one, which was on the left.

If this is in fact the new Mi5C, then I think we can all agree that it looks awesome, although we can't quite figure out it's (really) got a rear fingerprint sensor. We'll wait - I guess - until we see official images or more concrete speculation about the device, which will be officially unveiled in March.

Possible Mi5C specification

Rumours suggest that this is what we can expect with the Xiaomi Mi 5C:

  • 5.5-inch display,
  • 3 GB RAM, 64 GB storage,
  • 12 MPixel main camera and 8 MPixel selfie camera.

It's expected to use a 4500 mAh battery for its power requirements, and MIUI 8 will run on Android 6.0.
