These leaked slides detail the specifications of the Xiaomi MiPad 3. The device is said to feature a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 IPS display. In addition, the tablet will measure 6.08 mm and will also come with a keyboard dock.
Other alleged features of the Mi Pad 3 in slides include an Intel Core m3-7Y30 processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and two types of eMMC storage (128GB and 256GB). There's a very cool 8290mAh battery, which is reassuring. The MiPad 3 has a fingerprint sensor, as well as a 16MP rear and 8MP front camera for capturing images.
Interestingly, rumors say that no one is seeing the Android version of the Mi Pad 3, which suggests that Xiaomi prefers the Windows version. That's not really shocking if you think that the Android-based MiPad 2 hasn't been as well received as its Windows sibling.
While this information is certainly exciting, it's worth noting that Xiaomi itself hasn't shown anything about the Mi Pad 3. In any case, we'll know more on December 30, which is supposedly the launch date for the tablet.
It will be interesting to see if the Mi Pad 3 will indeed come with a price tag of 1,299 Chinese yuan ($228) and 2,299 yuan ($331) for the 128 GB and 256 GB models.
