42号garage chinese blogger has published new spy photos of the Xiaomi car today, which is still a highly disguised engineering test vehicle.

Judging from the spy photos, the car's bodywork is probably a watchtower-style layout. Also, the blogger believes that the front end of the Xiaomi car is longer than most pure electric platform models. The blogger speculates that Xiaomi may implement a pure electric and "plug-in hybrid (extended range)" performance variant.

The interior of the vehicle has also been exposed, but as it is an engineer's copy, it has little reference value. It is assumed, however, that the vehicle will be fitted with a large screen to create a technological atmosphere.

Last month, design images of the Xiaomi car (MS11) were leaked online. The renders show that the Xiaomi sedan is a coupe with a closed nose. It has a lidar on the roof and headlights with brake vents at the bottom, indicating that the vehicle is capable of sporty performance. The vehicle uses concealed door handles but does not use the latest electronic rear view mirror.

In November 2022, it was revealed that Xiaomi's car production process was not as good as expected, which Xiaomi officially denied. On 17 January this year, a car blogger published two photos of Xiaomi cars in ice and snow, and it was revealed that Xiaomi CEO was testing Xiaomi cars. This means that Xiaomi cars undergo extreme cold tests before mass production. At the Xiaomi Investor Day on February 9, Xiaomi CEO said, "Xiaomi aims to be among the top five manufacturers in the world within 15-20 years." Xiaomi is expected to officially start mass production in the first half of 2024.
